At the waterline

Vancouver,
held at a slower pace.

Repairing King is close to the city’s momentum and designed as a counterpoint to it.

Cross the copper canopy and the sound changes first. Charred cedar, warm stone and low light bring the scale inward. Harbour weather remains visible everywhere: in the lobby windows, the thermal room, and the seats people quietly choose to keep.

108 rooms / Four characters

Rooms for
watching weather.

Every room is acoustically quiet, layered in Canadian wool and cedar, and anchored by a proper place to sit. Choose by outlook, bathing ritual, or the number of people around the table.

A day at Repairing King

No itinerary.
Just good transitions.

07:00

Harbour light

Coffee arrives quietly. The seawall is still, the city not quite awake.

14:00

Warm water

Move through steam, rain and the cool basalt pool at your own pace.

19:30

The long table

Alder opens the room with fire, coastal produce and a view through mist.

Late

One more side

A record in the library, a discreet table in the salon, or nowhere at all.

04

Optional evening

The Cedar Salon

Play,
kept in
proportion.

The salon is intimate by design: hosted tables, considered service and enough space to step away. It is one evening choice among many, never the reason the whole house exists.

Eat + drink

The coast,
without costume.

The kitchens begin with what is nearby and finish with what tastes right.

Alder works over flame from late afternoon. Glasshouse is for breakfast, lunch and long views. Sixteen-seat Kelp Counter follows a chef-led sequence shaped by the day’s catch and the season’s vegetables. The lobby pours coffee early and nightcaps late.

Beyond the doors

The city + the inlet

Outward,
when ready.

Walk the seawall before the bicycles arrive. Take a harbour flight north. Follow the concierge’s map of independent studios through Railtown, or stay near the water and let the weather decide.
